LIM College Dean of Student Affairs

Brian Bustin and I visited LIM College last year to learn more about what the institution needed in its next Dean of Student Affairs. While Brian already had the pleasure of working with LIM College through a previous search, it was my first time working with College, and it was the first time either of us had visited the College in person. I was impressed with the facilities and the outstanding location right in the middle of Manhattan. More than that, however, I was inspired by the people who comprise LIM College—from the highly professional, successful faculty and staff on the committee to the engaged, determined students with whom we had the opportunity to meet in a group listening session. What I learned is that a degree from LIM College is rigorous but rewarding, and, after visiting the campus, it became clear to me why the vast majority of graduates from LIM College find employment in the fashion industry within months of earning their degrees.

Leaving the city, I couldn’t wait to tell the LIM College story because I found it so compelling. When the College appointed Michael Richards from Otis College of Art and Design to the position, I took pride in the fact that I had played a part in an important search at an institution doing such great work. Needless to say, when the College contacted us to assist in their search for an Associate Director of Graduate Studies, I jumped at the chance to partner with LIM College once more.
