RECENT APPOINTMENTS

RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of R. Lizzie Wahab as SUNY Plattsburgh’s next Vice President for Enrollment & Student Success. Lizzie comes to SUNY Plattsburgh from the University of Maine, where she serves as Vice President for Enrollment Management with oversight of the enrollment operations of the UMaine and University of Maine at Machias campuses. She joined UMaine from The Sage Colleges of Albany and Troy, New York, where she served as Vice President of Marketing and Enrollment Management. Her higher education experience includes leadership roles at the University of New Haven, Immaculata University, Rosemont College, William Peace University, and Wesleyan College. Prior to transitioning to academic administration, she worked as a research scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb Research Institute. She earned a master’s degree in biomedical sciences at the University at Buffalo and is currently pursuing her doctorate in organizational leadership at Vanderbilt University. RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Anthony Wilbon as Howard University’s next Dean of the School of Business. Dr. Wilbon currently serves at Howard University as the School of Business’ Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Administration. He also serves as an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. Prior to joining Howard University, Dr. Wilbon was the Principal Investigator on an eight-university consortium grant for the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration to support the Environmental Cooperative Science Center at Florida A&M University. During that time, Dr. Wilbon taught Information Science and Systems as an Associate Professor and an Assistant Professor at Morgan State University. Dr. Wilbon’s previous corporate experience includes positions as a Senior Information Technology Analyst for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, a Project Manager for American Management Systems Inc., a Senior Management Consultant at Booz-Allen and Hamilton, Inc., and a Systems Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Dr. Wilbon holds a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University, an MBA from Howard University, and a PhD from The George Washington University. RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Kimberly Alexander as The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management’s next Vice President for Development. Ms. Alexander comes to The Consortium from the National Black MBA Association, Inc., where she most recently served as Vice President of Development. Her previous leadership roles include serving as the Senior Director of Development at Goizueta Business School at Emory University, Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Marketing & Communications at Talladega College, and Chief Development Officer at MedShare International, among others. Ms. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Garnier as Mansfield University’s next Vice President for Finance and Administration. Mr. Garnier brings a wealth of experience in higher education finance, most recently serving as the Vice President of Administrative Services & Chief Financial Officer at Corning Community College. He has held previous financial leadership roles at Stanford University, Monroe Community College Association, Inc. within SUNY, and the Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. Garnier received a Bachelor of Science in accounting from SUNY Empire State College before earning an MBA from St. John Fisher College. RPA Inc. wishes Mr. Garnier and Mansfield University continued success.

RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer K. Waters, Ph.D., as SUNY Maritime College’s next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Waters comes to the College from the United States Naval Academy (USNA), where she serves as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and is the USNA’s senior female civilian. As Associate Dean, Dr. Waters manages all curricular matters for the USNA’s 25+ academic majors. She also oversees the USNA’s Academic Advising & Mentoring, Academic Support Center, and Registrar’s office. She is the primary liaison between the Office of the Academic Dean & Provost and other offices across the Academy, including Athletics, Information Technology, Midshipman Medical, and the Commandant’s Office/Student Life. Prior to this appointment, she served as the Department Chair of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, breaking ground as the first female engineering department chair at USNA. She has also previously served as the Program Director for Ocean Engineering. She is a full Professor and has taught at USNA since 1994. She earned a B.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture, an M. Eng. in Ocean Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Civil, Environmental & Coastal Engineering, also from Stevens Institute. RPA Inc. extends its congratulations to SUNY Geneseo and Ellen Leverich on her appointment as the University’s next Vice President for College Advancement. She currently serves as the Associate Vice President for Development at the Bloomsburg University Foundation. Prior to her experience at Bloomsburg, she served as the Director of Development at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. Ellen Leverich brings nearly 30 years of experience in higher education and non-profit philanthropy and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from SUNY Geneseo. RPA Inc. extends its congratulations to Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Dr. Debra Fitzsimons on her appointment as the University’s next Vice President for Administration and Finance. Fitzsimons served most recently as Interim Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Business Services and Chief Financial Officer at South Orange County Community College District, in Mission Viejo, CA. Prior to her experience in California, she served as Vice Chancellor of Administrative Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Fitzsimons brings over 25 years of experience in higher education and holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Pittsburgh, an MPA from Slippery Rock University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University. RPA Inc. extends congratulations to Dr. Alexander Enyedi and SUNY Plattsburgh on his appointment as the College’s next President. Dr. Enyedi currently serves as the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Humboldt State University. During his time at Humboldt State, Dr. Enyedi oversaw 13 distinct units including three academic colleges, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and the Office for Research and Sponsored Programs. Prior to his time at Humboldt State, Dr. Enyedi spent 22 years at Western Michigan University, where he moved through the ranks to full professor and served as the Dean as the College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Enyedi has a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology/Biochemistry from Pennsylvania State University, and a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph, Canada. RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Tara Hart, Ed.D., as Truman State University’s new Director of Admission. Dr. Hart comes to Truman from Arkansas Tech University, where she served as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the College Student Personnel department. Previously, Dr. Hart served for six years as Associate Director of Admissions at Angelo State University in Texas, during which time she developed recruitment initiatives that increased enrollment from approximately 6,500 to more than 10,000 students. She also increased the number of on-campus recruiting events from three to roughly 20 events and enhanced the group tour program and daily campus tour program with a minimum 15 percent increase of visitors each year for both programs. Prior to her appointment as Associate Director, Dr. Hart served as Angelo State’s Director of the Student Support Center. In this role, she implemented student retention strategies as well as designed and coordinated Bridge programs for high school seniors and at-risk first generation students. Also during her appointment as Director of the Student Support Center, she served as a staff representative on the Provost Graduation Completion Task Force and was selected as chair of the Veterans Educational & Transitional Services (VETS) action team, a committee dedicated to enhancing campus awareness and support for students receiving military benefits. In addition to her leadership roles at Angelo State, Dr. Hart held several positions at Midland University, including Dean of Students, and served as the Director of Student Activities & Student Center at Wayne State College. She began her career in higher education as an Admissions Counselor at College of Saint Mary, a private, all-women’s liberal arts institution in Omaha, Nebraska, ultimately becoming the College’s Director of Residential Life. Dr. Hart earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Service Counseling from Wayne State College, a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and a Doctorate of Leadership in Higher Education from Hardin-Simmons University.

RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Shelly McMahon as Meredith College’s new Registrar. Ms. McMahon comes to Meredith College from Ohio Wesleyan University, where she has served as Registrar since 2010. Previously, she served Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio, in multiple roles, culminating in her appointment as Associate Registrar and Director of Transfer and Articulation. During her time with Franklin University, she also taught as an adjunct faculty member. Additionally, Ms. McMahon served in the Army National Guard, holding the rank of Sergeant First Class. Ms. McMahon earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Science in Marketing & Communication, both from Franklin University.

RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Felicia Brown-Haywood as Millersville University’s new Chief Diversity Officer. Dr. Brown-Haywood comes to Millersville from Penn State Harrisburg, where she currently serves as the Director of Student Affairs and Engagement as well as the chief thought leader and strategist on issues relating to diversity and inclusive excellence. Previously, Dr. Brown-Haywood served Penn State as the Director of Equity and Intercultural Affairs for its Harrisburg and Schuylkill campuses. In addition to her administrative leadership, she also teaches graduate-level courses as an Affiliate Faculty Member in the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education at Penn State Harrisburg. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Cheyney University, a Master of Science in Professional Counseling and Student Personnel from Shippensburg University, a Master of Divinity in Theology and Pastoral Counseling from Virginia Union University, and a Doctor of Education degree in Adult Education and Lifelong Learning from Penn State University.

RPA Inc. extends its congratulations to Truman State University and Dr. Tyana Lange on her appointment as the University’s new Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing. Dr. Lange comes to Truman from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania, where she currently serves as the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs. Prior to serving as Vice President, Dr. Lange held the title of Associate Provost for Enrollment Management, also at Lock Haven. Before arriving at Lock Haven, she was the Director of Enrollment Management at Indiana University Kokomo. She also previously served Kettering University in Michigan in several capacities, including as the Marketing Manager, Business Manager, and Academic Advisor. Additionally, Dr. Lange has taught as an Adjunct Professor. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Communication from Rochester College, a Master of Science in Administration with a Leadership Concentration from Central Michigan University, and a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Leadership and Organizational Development from Lawrence Technological University.

RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Aaron J. Hart as the new Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Houston–Clear Lake. Dr. Hart currently serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Prior to joining UNC Charlotte, Dr. Hart worked for six years at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, ultimately as the Associate Dean of Students. Dr. Hart has also held appointments with American Campus Communities at Prairie View A&M University, California State University-Channel Islands, Arizona State University, University of California, Los Angeles, University of South Florida, University of Illinois at Chicago, Western Michigan University, and the University of Louisville. Dr. Hart earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Southern Illinois University, a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville, and a Doctor of Education in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Arizona State University.

RPA Inc. extends its congratulations to the University of Houston-Clear Lake and Joseph Staley on his appointment as the next Vice President for University Advancement. Staley served most recently at Johnson & Wales University where he held the position of Vice Chancellor for Resource Development. Before his work at JWU, he served a variety of institutions in his role as President/CEO at StaleyRobeson, a comprehensive fundraising consulting firm in Mystic, CT, and he began his career as Assistant Director of Annual Giving at the University of Pennsylvania. Staley is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He holds an MBA in Nonprofit Management from Johnson & Wales University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from St. Olaf College.
