RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Emily Sherwood as the University Librarian at Rochester Institute of Technology. With over a dozen years of experience leading cross-disciplinary projects and initiatives, Emily will join RIT from University of Rochester’s River Campus Libraries as the Director of Digital Scholarship and the Mary Ann Mavrinac Studio X. Before joining the University of Rochester, Dr. Sherwood served in roles in Digital Pedagogy and Scholarship at Bucknell University and in the Macaulay Honors College at the City University of New York. Dr. Sherwood holds a Ph.D. in English with a Certificate in Renaissance Studies from The Graduate Center, The City University of New York (CUNY), where she also earned her M.Phil; an M.A. with merit in Shakespearean Studies: Text and Playhouse from King’s College London, University of London; and a B.S. in Dramatic Literature, Theatre, and Playwriting from the CUNY Baccalaureate Program. Dr. Sherwood is distinguished as an alumna of both the Council on Libraries and Information Resources (CLIR) Postdoctoral Fellowship Program and the EDUCAUSE/CLIR Leading Change Institute.
