Prince George’s Community College – Vice President for Financial Services and Operations

Prince George’s Community College has appointed Hans “Jim” Adkins as the Vice President for Financial Services and Operations. Mr. Adkins joins PGCC after serving six years as the Executive Director of Finance and Chief Business Officer at the University of Texas at Austin. In this role, Mr. Adkins led the financial and budgetary management efforts of a $70M budget over five departments and served as a resource to unit heads in matters related to Human Resources for a division of 500 employees. He also served as a member of the University’s Council of University Business Officers. Prior to his time at the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Adkins served as the Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration for two years at Portland State University. Other previous appointments include the Director of Finance and Administration, Indianapolis Campus and Capital Asset Manager, Bloomington Campus with Indiana University; and Senior Accountant/Fiscal Officer with Boise State University. Mr. Adkins earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Boise State University and a Master of Science in Accounting from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
