Nashua Community College – President

The Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) has appointed Dr. James Keane as the next President of Nashua Community College (NCC) effective July 14, 2025. Dr. Keane joins NCC with a longstanding career in higher education leadership, including his most recent roles in Massachusetts as Associate Provost at Curry College and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Quinsigamond Community College. His leadership focuses on meaningful community engagement, new program development, and contributions to student success. Dr. Keane served for a decade as Executive Dean and Campus CEO of the Michael J. Grant Campus of Suffolk County Community College in New York, previously held several positions including Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies at St. John’s University, and has faculty experience at multiple
institutions teaching courses in education leadership, higher education administration, and philosophy. He earned an EdD in Higher Education Administration from Seton Hall University, a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Student Development from New York University, a Master of Arts in Theology from the Immaculate Conception Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from St. John’s University.
