Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) has appointed Craig Johnson as the 16th President. President Johnson, an MMA alumnus, brings over three decades of commitment to the maritime industry and an historic commitment to the success of MMA. Prior to assuming the presidency, Johnson served as both the interim President as well as the Chief Operating Officer at MMA. Previous roles include Partner at Flagship Management, focused on worldwide maritime search and consulting; Vice President then President at Faststream Group, focused on maritime, industrial, and shipyard industries; Director of Operations at XL North; and Director of Operations at Seacor Holdings. President Johnson’s experience combines an operational background, deep understanding of the Academy, strong commitment to students, and a life-long connection with the maritime industry.
