RPA Inc. is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Sheara Jennings as the next Dean of the School of Social Work at Howard University. Dr. Jennings joins Howard University after serving the University of Houston community for the past 19 years. During her time at the University of Houston, Dr. Jennings has served in many capacities including Humana Endowed Chair in Social Determinants of Health, Associate Dean of Doctoral Education, Interim Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Special Assistant to the Provost, and Associate Professor for the Graduate College of Social Work and Department of Health Systems and Populations. Dr. Jennings earned her Ph.D. in Social Intervention Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University, and her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology from Southern University and A&M College.
