RPA Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Cheryl Lesser, Ph.D., as the next President of Great Bay Community College in New Hampshire. Dr. Lesser currently serves as the Vice President for Academic Affairs at Luzerne County Community College in Pennsylvania, and prior to that, she held the same role at Clinton Community College in New York. Previously, Dr. Lesser served Sussex County Community College in New Jersey as the Dean of the Liberal Arts, Social Science, and Education Division. Other appointments held by Dr. Lesser at Sussex include Foreign Language Coordinator, Academic Outcomes Assessment Coordinator, Curriculum and Instruction Supervisor with Sussex’s Center for International Studies in Madrid, Spain, and Professor of Modern Languages. Prior to her work with Sussex, she taught Spanish as an adjunct instructor at County College of Morris, Raritan Valley Community College, and Caldwell College, all in New Jersey. Additionally, she has served as a Member and Chair with the Middle State Commission on Higher Education Accreditation Evaluation Team. She earned a B.A. in Spanish from Bucknell University, an M.A. in Spanish Literature from Saint Louis University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in Education Studies with a specialization in Educational Leadership in Higher Education.
