Dutchess Community College – Vice President for Finance and Administration

Dutchess Community College has appointed Dennis Dintino as its next Vice President for Finance and Administration. Mr. Dintino most recently served as a consultant with the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), a role in which he provided his expert knowledge and advice to numerous colleges and universities in the areas of turnarounds, enrollment growth, improved retention, campus transformation projects, mergers and acquisitions, and administrative and organizational structure. Prior to this, Mr. Dintino served as the Senior Vice Dean of Finance and Administration at New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering. He has also held the role of Assistant Vice President and then Vice President of Finance and Business Affairs at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University (which would go on to become the Tandon School of Engineering). Earlier appointments include Controller and Director of Internal Audit at Polytechnic and Senior Internal Auditor at Columbia University. In his career, Mr. Dintino has been responsible for $100M campus renovations, has helped institutions eliminate multimillion-dollar deficits, and has served as the key point person for mergers of large, complex institutions. He has overseen or had experience with an array of departments and college functions, including finance and budgeting, organizational leadership, Board of Trustees management, university mergers, human resources, information technology, legal matters, facilities, auxiliary enterprises, strategic planning, and compliance. Additionally, his extensive experience in consulting has resulted in significant positive change and financial growth for numerous institutions of higher education. Mr. Dintino graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University.
