The City University of New York (CUNY) has appointed Dr. Larry Johnson Jr. as the next President of Bronx Community College. Dr. Johnson currently serves as the President of Stella & Charles Guttman Community College. Prior to joining Guttman, Dr. Johnson served as President at Phoenix College. He has also served in the following leadership roles: Campus President & Chief Academic Officer at St. Louis Community College–Forest Park Campus & William J. Harrison Education Center; Associate Dean, Academic Affairs at Broward College–South Campus; Division Chair, Arts & Sciences and Developmental Education, and Lead Humanities Instructor & Student Concerns Officer at Georgia Piedmont Technical College. He has also taught at Arizona State University, Strayer University, Ashford University, DeVry University, Florida State University, and Tallahassee Community College. Dr. Johnson has a Doctor of Arts from Clark Atlanta University, and a Graduate Certificate in Institutional Research in Higher Education from Florida State University. He also has a Master of Arts from Florida State University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Florida A&M University.
